Dragon's Edge Tour

This tour encompasses riding the wonderful Welsh countryside on quiet, scenic roads, highlighted by a day at Rider’s Edge, to refresh your motorcycling skills at the Harley-Davidson Academy of Motorcycling. There will also be an opportunity for your pillion to try riding from the front! Various pick-up points make it easy to join this tour from different parts of the UK.

N.B. These are our departure times. Participants should arrive 30 mins prior, with a full tank of petrol.
Day 1 Meet at appropriate pick-up point for the ride to Wales. We’ll leave the M5 motorway, passing through Hereford then on towards Builth Wells. Check in to our comfortable hotel, where you can have a swim in the pool or a massage in the spa, while you anticipate the special riding days we have in store for you. Max 327 miles
Day 2 After breakfast, we’re off to Rider’s Edge for an exciting & informative day! Whether you’re relatively new to biking, or have been riding for years, there’s always something valuable to be gained from the experts here. Practical tuition will include slow riding techniques, emergency braking & group riding procedures. For the pillion riders, have you ever fancied riding a bike yourself? You’ll have the opportunity to try on a 125cc motorcycle, then perhaps a 500cc, progressing to a Harley-Davidson Sportster, all under expert supervision of course, & on private training roads. This could be the beginning of something beautiful! After lunch, we’ll take a guided ride around some of the best biking roads in the area, putting all our newly learned skills into practice! Approx 50 miles
Day 3 Today’s ride will take us through the beautiful Welsh valleys & scenic mountain roads of Snowdonia National Park, arriving back at our hotel in plenty of time to enjoy the facilities, & relax over a delicious 3 course evening meal. Approx 165 miles
Day 4 Enjoy your final Welsh breakfast of this tour, as we’re making our way back home today, all more confident and somewhat wiser for our experiences in Builth Wells and beautiful Wales.
